Erin received her bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey, where she studied Psychology. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track of The College of New Jersey’s Counselor Education program. Her expected graduation date is May 2019.
While completing her degree, Erin works as a counseling intern at Ivy Counseling Group. Under supervision by Dr. Mahuya Ghosh, she helps children and adolescents struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, family conflict, social skills, and difficulties in school.
In addition to her internship at Ivy Counseling Group, Erin is an intern at an partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program, where she works in the Women’s Program and runs process groups that focus on increasing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. She has experience facilitating psychoeducation groups covering topics such as trauma education, healthy relationships, self-worth, and self-care. At TCNJ, Erin had the opportunity to develop and implement a 12 week group focused on fostering self-care as a student facilitator in a group counseling course.
Complementary to her counseling skills, Erin works closely with Susan Niedt, our aromatherapist, to share and educate those interested in the benefits of essential oils. She helps facilitate workshops such as: Essential Oils 101, Blending Essential Oils, First Aid 101, Supporting Stress & Anxiety, etc.
