Alesia Dundiak is a therapist completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey. Her clinical work is rooted in trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on complex trauma — from a single event to prolonged experiences of harm, neglect, or chronic stress that shape how a person relates to themselves and the world around them.
Alesia’s clinical experience spans the full continuum of care. She began her career in the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) department at Carrier Clinic, working with individuals facing severe and treatment-resistant mental health conditions. She later worked as an individual and group clinician at Footprints to Recovery, where she provided trauma-focused treatment within both Substance Use and Mental Health tracks. There she worked with clients carrying histories of complex trauma alongside substance use disorders, grief and loss, reentry after incarceration, relational difficulties, mood dysregulation, OCD, and suicidal ideation.
Her own experience of immigrating twice and navigating a significant career change has deepened her understanding of identity disruption, chronic stress, and the long-term effects of living through prolonged uncertainty — experiences that often intersect with complex trauma.
Alesia provides individual therapy, couples and family counseling, and group therapy. She is trained in Gottman Couple Therapy (Levels 1 & 2) and EMDR — both highly effective in trauma processing — and is an IFS-informed therapist who integrates these approaches with polyvagal theory, positive neuroplasticity, and self-compassion practices to support nervous system regulation and lasting healing.
