Lisa is inspired by the resiliency, commitment, and dedication of the individuals she serves and strives to consistently empower them to achieve everything in their paths.
“I work with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma; helping them process difficult memories, manage overwhelming emotions, and rebuild a sense of safety and self-worth. My approach is genuine, collaborative, and evidence-based. I use proven approaches tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs. I help clients navigate complex trauma, self-injurious behaviors, suicidality, anxiety, and depression; guiding them toward lasting healing and meaningful change.
I believe that by creating a safe and non-judgmental environment, clients will feel supported and increase personal confidence allowing them to make positive decisions, meet their goals and set the foundation for future success. I believe that bringing creative therapeutic techniques into sessions is very helpful especially when individuals are having trouble verbalizing what they are feeling or experiencing. Bringing things like journaling, grounding, music and art into sessions increases a clients sense of safety and encourages them to be able to bring any topics into the counseling session.”
